"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course... Mrs. Corine "Nee" Hall was born on March 1, 1923 in Union County, Arkansas to Coley Hall and Mattie Landers. She departed this life on January 5, 2009 in the Medical Center of South Arkansas, El Dorado, Arkansas. Sister Hall joined Little Bethel Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until her health failed her. She worked as a house keeper until she retired. Sister Hall was well known for cooking Tea Cakes and Cookies, always giving them to others to enjoy. Sister Hall had a passion for ushering in church. She was well known at many of the are churches for lending a hand in the usher department and teaching the younger ushers. A Homegoing Celebration for Sister Hall will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at Little Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Stamps Cemetery, El Dorado, AR under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, January 9, 2009 from9am-5pm and Saturday, January 10, from 8:30-12:30pm. She is preceded in death by her parents, her step father, Frank Edmonds, a sister, Margie Moore and a brother, Brother O.C. Hall. She leaves to cherich her memories, two daughters, Bettie(Eddie)Willis of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Willie Mae (Michael)Carter of Lillie, Louisiana; one son, David(Angela)Hall of Lillie, Louisiana; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild; a special friend, Mrs. Gwendolyn Davis of Lillie, Louisiana; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
