William Jackson

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:18 William Jackson was born on April 30, 1925 in Louann, AR the son of William "Bill" and Tommie Howard Jackson. He departed this life on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock, AR. William was a member of First Baptist Church, Smackover, AR where he served as a Deacon. He was a self-employed truck driver for the State of Arkansas and was the proud owner of Jackson Logging Company. He is survived by his wife, Berist E. Jackson of Smackover, AR; two sons, Wilfred Jackson of Little Rock, AR and Glenn Jackson of Dallas, TX;three daughters, Sharon Jackson and Marion Jackson-Moore of Oakland, CA and Rithea Jackson of Little Rock, AR; one brother Fred Jackson of Detroit, MI and one sister Mary Kelly of Detroit, MI; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, October 31, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014 from 8:30 to 12 noon. Family Hour will be held at First Baptist Church, Smackover, AR from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at the Hobgood School Auditorium, Smackover, AR with Rev. Harvey Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Hicks Cemetery, Smackover, AR under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
