Fred Roy Smith

Fred Roy Smith was born February 15, 1949 in Union County, AR the son of Gaddy and Mattie Hall Smith.   He departed this life on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at his residence in Calion, AR.   He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Prezell Smith, Linnie Smith and Henry Earl Smith.   He attended Smith High School, Norphlet, AR.   Fred retired after working 20 plus years as a truck driver from Calion Lumber Company and Great Lake Chemical Company.   He is survived by his two sons, Fredrick Hall and Phillip Smith of Calion, AR; two daughters, Aurora Smith of Charlotte, NC and LeQuisha Smith of Hayward, CA; two brothers, James Darling of Los Angeles, CA and Edward Smith of Little Rock, AR; one sister, Ada Lawrence of Calion, AR; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; four special grandchildren. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, June 13, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 14, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Willow Grove Baptist Church, Calion, AR with Rev.
