Rosie M. Hicks was born to the late Wiley Wright and Mary Mayfield on April 23,1923 in Dubach,Louisiana Rosie accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church. After the death of her first husband , she married a CME Preacher, Rev.Celo Hicks , and became a member of the St.vestal CME Church. She served on the Missionary Society as a stewardess and usher, and represented the church at district,state,and regional meetings.She was also an Eastern Star Rosie retired from the El Dorado School District #15 as a cook. Rosie is precede in death by her parents,her husband , all of her siblings,and other family family members. She was blessed to leave a long time . She leaves to cherish her memories Mildred Miller of Tacoma,Washington Mary Wright and Pam Gilmore of El Dorado,Arkansas and 5 generations of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends . No visitation at the funeral home all viewing will be done at the end of the service. Homegoing service will be held Saturday December 28,2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Vestal CME Church located at 1001 Northwest Ave. El Dorado,Arkansas, with the Rev. Fannie Washington officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday December 30,2013 in Arlington Cemetery in El Dorado,Arkansas.
