Earnest "August" Carroll

August 1, 1922 — April 23, 2008

Brother earnest "August "Carroll was born August 1, 1922 to the late Jack Carroll and Emma Fountain. He accepted Christ at a young age while attending Mt. Pigeon Baptist Church in Three Creeks, Arkansas. He later united with Turner Chapel Baptist Church and shortly thereafter he became part of the New Deliverance and Worship Center Family where he remained faithful until death. He was employed as a truck driver and retired from Jerry Blackmon Wood Company. He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Gertha Mae Carroll; nine sons, Jimmy(Linda), Henry(Neta), Ozell(Violet), Kenny(Evelyn), Earvin(Billlie) all of El Dorado, Arkansas; six daughters, Betty Jo(Cleotha)Hayes, Gloria(George)Abbott both of El Dorado, Arkansas, Roberta(Ronnie) Mosbley, Mary(David)Levingston, Betty Ann Carroll and Charidas Carroll all of Junction City, Arkansas; 48 grandchildren, 78 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends. Homegoing Celebration will be held on May 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at New Life Deliverance Worship Center, Junction City, AR with the Elder Lornell Grayson, Sr. and Elder Bobbie Grayson. Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery, Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
