Raymond E. Creer

Raymond Creer was born on April 23, 1941 in the Caledonia Community, El Dorado, Arkansas the son of Prezell and Mattie Dismuke Creer. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clarence Creer and Melvin Creer and a son Melvin Creer(died at birth)and a daughter Shelia Creer. Raymond graduated from the University of Pine Bluff at Arkansas in December 1964. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corp on January 17, 1972 and retired from Chrysler Corporation of St. Louis on June 30, 1991. He leaves to cherish his loving memories,his loving wife Gladys McGhee Creer of St. Louis, Missouri; his daughters, Dr. Raycinia Creer Ellison of Charlotte, North Carolina and Sandy Lovett of Woodbridge, Virginia; one brother, Dee Creer of St. Louis, Missouri,six sisters, Velma Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas, Robertine Darton of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Rose Ann Lott of Little Rock, Arkansas, Diane McClelland of North Chicago, Illinois, Barbara Richmond of El Dorado, Arkansas and Hazel Matthews of Little Rock, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, Junction City, Arkansas with Rev. Rosemary Smith officiating. A family hour will be held at the funeral home from 5-6p.m. on Friday. Interment will follow in the Caledonia Cemetery, Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
