Earnest Carroll

"The Lord is my Sheperd" Bro. Earnest "August" Carroll was born on August 1, 1922 in Junction City, Arkansas, the son of Jack and Emma Fountain Carroll. He worked as a truck driver for several years and retired from Jerry Blackman Wood Company. Earnest accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Pigeon Baptist Church in Three Creeks, Arkansas. He later united with Turner Chapel Baptist Church and later New Life Deliverance and Worship Center where he remained faithful until death. He leaves to cherish, a loving and devoted wife, who he loved dearly Gertha Mae Carroll; nine sons, Jimmy Carroll(Linda), Henry Carroll(Neta), Ozell Carroll(Videt), Kenny Carroll(Elevyn), Earvin Carroll(Billie) all of El Dorado, Arkansas, Earnest Carroll(Wilmar), Jerry Carroll(Shundra), Jerry Carroll, Jr. all of Junction City, Arkansas, Terry Carroll(Lenoria) of Bernice, Louisiana; six daughters, Betty Jo Hayes(Clothia), Gloria Abbott(George) of El Dorado, Arkansas, Roberta Mosbley(Ronnie), Mary Levingston(David), Betty Ann Carroll, Charidas Carroll all of Junction City, Arkansas; one brother, Woodroff Carroll, Redland, California; 78 grandchildren and 48 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of nephews, neices, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Mr. Carroll will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at New Deliverance Life and Worship Center, El Dorado, Arkansas with Elder Lornell Grayson and Elder Bobbie Grayson officiating. Interment will follow in the Community Cemetery, Junction City, AR under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2008 from 9-5 and Saturday, from 8:30-10:30am.
