II Timothy 4:6 Brother Billy Ray Bright was born on October 26, 1936 to the late Reece and Maggie Richard Bright in Union County, Arkansas. As a long time resident of Union County, he attended Booker T. Washington High School. In 1957 he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Upon returning to El Dorado from the military, he accepted a job at Prescolite and remained there thirty-six years until retirement in 1998. He was also employed at the Boys and Girls Club, Southwest Unit and SWEDA. He was an avid fisherman. Billy Ray was a member of Douglas Chapel Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife of fourteen years, Betty Ann Bright; three sons, Ray Charles Bright of Denver, Colorado, ShaRon Bright of Wrightsville, Arkansas and Jeffrey Sanders of El Dorado, Arkansas; three daughters, Javette Sanders of El Dorado, Arkansas, Kayla Blackmon of Bernice, Louisiana and Sharon Bright of Wrightsville, Arkansas; four sisters, Shirley Adam of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Alice(Rueben)Briggs of Lewisville,Arkansas, Peggy(Keith)Johnson and Patsy(Ron)Murphy both of El Dorado, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Dasha, JaMontel, Jasmine, Danesha, Jamious, JaKaylah, a loving mother-in-law, Helen Crayton; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Homegoing Celebration for Bro. Bright will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at Douglas Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. D.L. Hegler officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be Friday, March 7, 2008 from 9-5pm and Saturday, March 8, from 8-12 noon.
