"The Lord is my sheperd, I shall not want". Psalms 23 Brother Raymond Lee Brown was born on February 23, 1941 in Urbana, Arkansas the son of Jewel and Elnora Washington Brown. Bro. Brown was a member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Deacon Board, Trustee Board and as Church Treasurer. He was a retired gauger from Lion Oil Refinery. His parents, one brother, James Brown and one sister, Dorothy J. Brown all precede him in death. He departed this life on Sunday, February 17, 2008 in the Medical Center of South Arkansas, El Dorado, Arkansas. Raymond leaves to cherish his loving memories; his wife, Earlene R. Brown of El Dorado, Arkansas; three sons, Raymond Earl Brown(Kristy) of Fort Irwin, California, Ray Anthony Brown(DeEtta) and Gary Gibson all of El Dorado, Arkansas.; four daughters, Sharon Brown of Ontario, California, Lillie Rachael Brown of Victorville, California, Mary Jean Moore of Harbor City, California and Lizzie Mae Smith(Titus) of Long Beach, California; three brothers, Jewel Louis Brown(Gloria)of Flint, MI, John Wesley Brown and Otis Lee Brown(Mildred) all of Richmond, Indiana; three sisters, Mary Jean Smith, Shirley Faye Benton and Tammy Rose Brown all of Richmond, Indiana; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing services for Mr. Brown will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church with the Bishop George Calloway officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, February 22, 2008 from 9:00am-5:00pm and Saturday, February 23, from 8:30-12 Noon. The family will be at 908 Lockhart. A repast will be held at the Village Outreach Center immediately following the interment.
