Jeanice McDuffie Higgins

"The Lord is my Sheperd, I shall not want" Psalms 23 Sister Jeanice McDuffie Higgins was born on January 19, 1950 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Roy and Vashti McDuffie. She went to be with her God and Savior on Wednesday, December 19, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother and one sister. Jeanice worked as a pressor. She leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Frederick Smith of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Delinda King of El Dorado, Arkansas and Barbara Pumphrey and her husband Michael of Little Rock, Arkansas; three brothers, Ray McDuffie of Richmond, California; four sisters, Eddie Davis, Jean Barnes, Linda Moore all of El Dorado, Arkansas and Lizzie Hickman of Bryant, Texas; Jeanice was a grandmother of ten grandchildren, Cortez, Sharnicea, Sharnell, Dwight, Merceded, C.J., Tredrick, Marquez and Arista. A host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. A very special friend, Chester King. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church at 1:30pm with the Rev. Pierce Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the El Bethel Three Creeks Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
