Willie Wade, Sr.

"Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me." Brother Willie Wade, Sr. was born on August 3, 1910 in Union County, Arkansas, the son of Felix and Mary McDowell Wade. He departed this life on Monday, October 1, 2007 in Richmond, California. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Willie Wade, Jr. and Eddie Wade. Bro. Wade leaves to cherish his loving memories; his wife, Jimmie Lee Wade of El Dorado, Arkansas; one sons, Jerry Wade of Richmond, California; eight daughters, Lottie Chris of Kensington, California, Tina Smith of Emeryville, California, Mattie Thomas of Detroit, Michigan, Faye Robinson of Tyler, Texas, Mazie Wade of El Dorado, Arkansas, Linda Clemons of Grandview, Missouri, Terrie Williams of San Antonio, Texas, Betty Davis of Kansas City, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren and fifty-two great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren. Homegoing Services for Mr. Wade will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sims Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Felton Burgie officiating. Interment will follow in the Arlington Memorial Park, El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 5, 2007 from 8:30am-5:00pm and Saturday, October 6, 2007 from 8:30 to 11:00 am.
