Lessie Johnson

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.." Psalms 23 Lessie Johnson was born on April 9, 1931 in Jefferson, Texas the daughter of Thomas and Vasti Edley Johnson. Lessie was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Avoid Johnson; two sisters, Essie Mae Dunn and Mary M. Moore. Lessie departed this life on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at her residence. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her son Mitchell Johnson of El Dorado, Arkansas; two brothers, Thomas(Dorothy) Johnson of Nacogdoches, Texas and Harry(Mae Bell)of Jasper, Texas; a sister Alice(Arlee) Lewis of Newton, Texas; A sister-in-law, Jerline Johnson of El Dorado, Arkansas; a host of nieces and nephews,other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Celebration for Lessie will be held on Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Sims Mortuary Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Pierce Moore officiating. Interment will follow in the Lott Burgy Cemetery, El Dorado, Arkansas under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. No visitation at the funeral home. Viewing after the service only.
