George Miller

July 26, 1992 — January 29, 2012

"But he knoweth the way that I take; when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as pure gold." Job 23:10 George Brian Miller was born on July 26, 1992 to Robert and Deneen Miller. He weighed 7lbs. and 5 ozs. At the time of his birth, he had one sibling, his brother Robbie. Later he became big brother to Elijah and Zoe. He was a very happy baby and grew up to be fun loving young man. Georgie accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 6. He was baptized at First Baptist Church-Cordell by Pastor Robert Anderson. Later he became a member of Liberty Church where his Pastor was Jim Bolding. During the time he was able, he assisted in the television ministy for Liberty Church. George Brian was diagnosed with a brain tumor when he was 9 years old. He went through a 12 hour surgery and successfully made it through. After his surgery Georgie was determined to do one thing, grow back his hair and he successfully did that. He had thick, black, long beautiful hair that would make any weave wearing girl mad. During middle school Georgie was known for his beautiful smile, his long braids and big brown eyes. Later on in High School he became know as the candy man. He was very successful. He was a true entrepreneur. During those time Georgie loved playing video games, and going to the movies with his best friend Jason Hildreth. He loved to draw and was a great artist. He designed drawings of black cartoon characters, we encouraged him to pursue his drawing and to contact a newspapaer for publication. During his 10th grade year the brain tumor returned. He went through radiation and chemotherapy but it was not sucessful. George graduated El Dorado High School May 2011. He loved going to El Dorado Football games with his dad. They rarely missed a game in or out of town. Georgie was loving and compassionate. He loved his brothers and sister. He lived a life of doing for others. He was always concerned about others and how they were feeling. Georgie never complained or ask why. He went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2012 after a lenghty battle with cancer. During his peaceful passing at home, Georgie was surrounded by family and friends. The George Miller smile will never be forgotten. Preceding him in death was his maternal grandmother Juanita Woods of Georgia. Georgie is survived by his parents, Robert and Deneen Miller of El Dorado, Arkansas, Robert Miller, Shreveport, Louisiana(Barksdale AFB), Elijah Miller and one sister Zoe Miller both of El Dorado, Arkansas; his grandparents Dr. Robert Jr. and Trudy Miller of Helena, Elijah Agnew(Emma) of Jonesboro. Aunts, Maxine Miller and Deborah Woods, Uncles, Brian Miller, Kyle Miller, Jerry Agnew, Johnny Woods and Donnie Woods. He also had a host of cousins and friends he left behind. A Homegoing Celebration for George will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the New El Dorado High School Auditorium, 2000 Wildcat Drive, El Dorado, Arkansas with Rev. Jim Bolding officiating, under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Interment will be on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Magnolia Cemetery, Helena, Arkansas. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. and February 4,from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of George Miller, please visit our flower store.
