Sister Isabelle Annette Nunn, a beloved sister, aunt and friend, has departed from this earth for another home in "A city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God, "Hebrews 11:10. Isabele Nunn was born September 10, 1917 in Strong, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Garland and Anna Belle Williams White. Isablle Nunn, 89 years of age, departed this life on Sunday, July 29, 2007 at her home in El Dorado, Arkansas. At an early age, Isabelle was a member of the Pleasant Grove Church of God in Strong, Arkansas. Later she united with the Lee Chapel A.M.E. Church where she faithfully served as a steward and choir member until her death. Isabelle devoted her life to helping others. She worked several years at Union Memorial Hospital; volunteered in various organizations; served as a mentor at El Dorado Connections; dedicated babysister, sat with the elderly; and was a member of the Self Culture Club for over 40 years. Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents; Garland and Anna Belle White; her husband, Artell Nunn; three brothers, Augusta White, Weber, and Joe White; and two sisters, Rosalie McIntosh and Anna Stuart. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; one sister, Hortense Hicks and one brother, Milton(Miracle)White, both of Flint, Michigan, a host of neices, nephews, relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Sis. Nunn will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Lee Chapel A.M.E., El Dorado, Arkansas with the Rev. Curley Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff.
