"A precious one from the Grace of God is gone. A voice we love and always will remember. He is safe in the arms of God. God saved Richard by Grace. Therefore by love, over the shadows, sweetly he shall rest." Richard Lee Norris, was born on October 31, 1950 in the city of Hampton,Arkansas, the son of W. D. Norris and Leola Medlock Wood. He graduated from Hampton High School in the year of 1967. Richard Lee Norris was drafted to serve in the United States Army in 1968. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Army in the year 1972. Richard departed this life on July 22, 2007 at 10:00 p.m. He leaves to cherish his father, W.D. (Evelyn) Norris, Malvern, AR; one brother, Exie Lee Tatum of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four sisters, Deloise Maxine Harris of Hampton, Arkansas, Donna Briscoe of Belmont, California and Diana Thomas of San Bruno, California and Betty Stewart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a host of neices, nephews and other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Mr. Norris will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church, Hampton, Arkansas with the Bishop John A. Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation at the funeral home will be on Friday, July 27, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The family will be at the home of Maxine Harris, 632 So. 2nd. Street, Hampton, Arkansas.
