Levi Sims

Bro. Levi Sims was born on March 5, 1900 in Union County, Arkansas the son of P. S. and Laura Sims. He departed this life on May 22, 2007 in the Mary Goss Nursing Home, Monroe, Louisiana. Levi was a faithful member of Zion Springs Baptist Church, Monroe, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Sears W. Sims. Levi leaves to cherish his memories; two brothers, Pete Sims, Jr. and Floyd S. Sims(Alberta) all of El Dorado, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Mary Ervin of Monroe, Louisiana; four grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren and five great-great grandchldren; A host of other relatives and friends. Homegoing Services for Mr. Sims will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sims Mortuary Chapel, El Dorado, Arkansas. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Lisbon, Arkansas. Visitation at the Funeral Home will be Friday, May 25, 2007 from 9:00am-5:00pm and May 26, 2007 from 8-9am.
