Quiet, dignified, faithful, industrious and loving are all expressions of what Mrs. Ruby Dell Baker stood for. A mother of her family and the community, none could compare. Sis. Ruby Dell Baker was born on January 17, 1927 in Strong, Arkansas, the daughter of Jim and Arbella Williams Fikes. She was educated in Strong and a faithful member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Ruby Dell was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Larry Baker and James Baker. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two sons, Jerry Baker and Ira Baker; five daughters, Louise Baker, Shelia Baker, Evelyn Jackson, Mary Ann Reynolds, Juanita Rogers all of Strong, Arkansas,one brother, Willie James Fikes of El Dorado, Arkansas; two sisters, Mazue Johnson of Champagne, Illinois and Ellen R. Greer of Strong, Arkansas; two foster children, Cheryl Leichmon and Quinton Rogers of Strong, Arkansas; 33 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Homegoing Celebration for Ruby Dell will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Strong High School Gymnasium. Interment will follow in the Gill Cemetery, Strong, Arkansas. Visitation at the funeral home will be Friday, May 18, 2007 from 8:30am-5:30pm and Saturday, May 19, from 8:00-10:30. A family hour will be Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, Strong, Arkansas. The faimy will receive friend at 275 North Hickory, Strong, Arkansa.
