Beulah Morton

Sis. Beulah Morton was born in Summerfield, Louisiana on November 1, 1906, the daughter of Dutch and Dovie Buggs Brown. She departed this life on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Hospice Life Touch Center, El Dorado, Arkansas. She united with Mt. Olive in Summerfield, Louisiana and later moved to El Dorado, Arkansas whre she united with First Baptist Chruch-Cordell. She was a faithful member of Circle Marianna and the Sunday School until her health failed. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Jessie Morton, Sr. To this union four children were born. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Morton, Sr.; two sons, Jessie Morton, Jr. and Earnest Lee Walker. She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Willie Mitchell Morton of Oakland, California and one daughter, Katherine Lowery of El Dorado, Arkansas; five grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren,, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Homegoing services for Sis. Morton will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church-Cordell, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Bishop Eddie Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Summerfield, Louisiana under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, Tuesday, April 24, 2007 from 9:00am-5:00pm and Wednesday, April 25, 2007 from 8:00-9:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at 513 West 5th Street, El Dorado, Arkansas.
