Leroy Jackson, Sr.

Bro. Leroy Jackson, Sr. of San Francisco, California and formerly of El Dorado, Arkansas departed this life on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, Arkansas. He was born on October 3, 1945 in El Dorado, Arkansas, the son of J.C. and Alice Earline Anderson Jackson. His parents, one brother, Johnny Bailey Jackson and one sister, Doris Elena Jackson all preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his loving memories; one son, Leroy Jackson, Jr. and one daughter, Elizabeth Beene both of Little Rock, Arkansas; six brothers, Johnny C. Jackson and Felix Jackson both of El Dorado, Arkansas, Horice Jackson of Crossett, Arkansas, Joe Jackson of Jackson, Mississippi, Jonathan Jackson of Charlotte, North Carolina and Verge Jackson of Memphis, Tennessee; seven sisters, Patricia Heinhold of Mannhen, Germany, Patsy Raulston of Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Getwood of Port Arthur, Texas, Jeanette O'Guinn, Annette Jackson, Keeley Alderson all of Venice, California and Juanita Daniels of Strong, Arkansas and three grandchildren; a host of neices, nephews other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Mr. Jackson will be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Sims Mortuary Chapel of the Cross, 432 Liberty Street, El Dorado, Arkansas with the Rev. Felton Burgie officiating. Interment will be in the Arlington Cemetery under the direction of the Sims Mortuary Staff. No visitation. The remains were cremated. The family will be at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Lucious Daniels, 1280 Pigeon Hill Road, Strong, Arkansas.
