Johnny "Wheelie Boy" Lee Levingston Jr.

August 8, 1934 — April 11, 2020

Johnny “Wheelie Boy” Levingston Jr. was born August 6, 1934, to Lila Haynes Levingston and Johnny Levingston Sr in Summerfield, Louisiana. He was the last of 6 children. After a lengthy illness, Johnny departed this life on April 11, 2020, at the Lifetouch Hospice House in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Johnny received his education in the El Dorado Public School System and graduated from Washington High School. Johnny joined the Army in 1948 and served in the Korean Conflict. Johnny married Annie Mae Bass on September 12, 1958. In his later years, he joined and served as a deacon at Union Arc Missionary Baptist Church, and later at Freewill Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed him.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sons Johnny Bernard Levingston and Daren Vernard Levingston; two brothers, Calvin Tanner and Willie Tanner; three sisters, Gussie Tanner, Vergie Tanner, and Annie Lee Levingston.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Dorothy Levingston Brown and Lila Levingston, both of El Dorado, AR; three sons; Michael Levingston of Dallas, TX, Terry Bass and Larry Davis (Shelley) both of El Dorado, AR; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
